Convent Guest House of the Suore Terziarie Frances: Best Accommodation in Assisi!

This is for sure the best located venue in Assisi, just in front Saint Francis Basilica! The views are breathtaking, really beautiful! If your bedroom is just in front of the building you can get this breathtaking views with just open your window!
Rooms are spacious and very clean, private bathroom, comfortable beds, chair and desk, hairdryer, hot water, towels, telephone, etc. Bathrooms and furniture are new.
Breakfast is included in the price, it is simple but good; coffee, bread, jams, cookies, tea, milk, orange juice and if you want something special like eggs you have to pay extra to get it.
As it is just in front of Saint Francis Basilica is difficult to get lost, is easier to get here!
Well located for walking to Assisi bus station where you can take a bus or a taxi to get to Assisi train station.
Also this is a quiet place to relax, it has a lovely garden and courtyard.
No Mass is held but you can access to the chapel on request.
This guest house is run by Nuns that are very friendly and kind!!

Just in front of Saint Francis Basilica!
Really Beautiful Breathtaking views!
Very comfortable rooms!

Hotel Albergo Le Mura: Close to Assisi

I stayed there for a night while visiting Assisi and touring to Rimini after that. Le Mura is only a 20 minute drive from Assisi on highway 45.
Le Mura is a 3 star hotel situated within the city of Foligno's medieval city walls. It is easily accessible from all directions. The hotel and restaurant blend perfectly into the historic center's architecture.

Le Mura is distinguished by its excellent service and its delicious typical Umbrian cuisine, all of this provided in a relaxing and comfortable ambiance that is a perfect fusion of quality and elegance.

Villa Gabbiano: Silence and great food

This is a farm holiday hotel (in Italian we say "agriturismo" because they must have some agricoluture production to get some government grants) nicely located at 800 meters altitude between Assisi and Spello. the path is something not so easy but if you go there in summer (and I strongly reccomend the summer to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool) it is a sort of silence paradise, just 10-15 minuts drive from Assisi downtown.

It is run by a noble family (now forced to work....rightly!!!); Cristiano and his wife Patrizia (she was nearly to bacame attorney...don't know if she is still in the kitchen), both very nice but not so easy going at the beginning. The rooms are not so many but they are bis and offer all comforts, breakfast start not before 8 and you cannot go to the swimming pool before 9. In a word: Cristiano set up some stupid rules but I think it's also fair to relax and to take a long time to do everything.

The view is really amazingly breathtaking. You can choose among rooms, a very nice suite (in a separated house) and apartment, where you have also the kitchen so you can cook.

Half board costs 18 euros/person. The quality and quantity is really ok, especially compared with the price.
The breakfast is typical Italian, some bread, butter and marmelade, milk, coffe and tea. Do not look for huge buffets. There aren't.

Hotel Ristorante Viole: A quiet nights sleep

We were on an organized trip and this was a great place to stay just outside of town.

Dinner and breakfast were adequate. Rooms were nice, though the bathroom extremely small.

Arrive before sunset for some breathtaking photos!

The Pool closes at 8.
