Il Pino: Agritourism farmhouses near Deruta

"Agritourism" in Italy is a special cathegory of touristic activity. It was our first experience with farmhouse holidays and we are very satisfied with it. Frankly there is not so much difference between regular hotels and agritourism except the location. Put it this way: farmhouses are not crowded.

The price was 35 Euro ***per person*** in high season. This number is very approximate though.

Unique Quality: The location near Deruta is incredibly convenient if you want to see entire Umbria region. It takes about 20-30 min to get to Peruga, Todi, Assisi, and about 40-50 to reach Orvieto, Gubbio and Spolleto. Probably you can reach every point in Umbria including remote natural parks in less than 1.5 hour.

The facilities in Il Pino includes probably everyting necessary for the comfortable stay. There is even a swimming pool in the summer.

The view on surrounding hills are great with the glimpses on Tiber (Tevere) valley.

The restaurant is simple but nice and serves typical Umbrian specialities - including tartufo (truffel), local antipasta etc. That is one of the main points of "Agritourism" - the local cousine. The fireplace in the restaurant is beautiful! It is not cheap though.
