Umbria Resort
What a wonderful view from the top of a beautiful hill overlooking Umbria. The rooms were spacious and and beautifully appointed. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was out of this world.
Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night but had made a point to stay there and it was well worth it!

What is the nearest airport to see Lake Trasimeno please, I am looking at booking a holiday at the Gourment Vegetarian resort of Montali.

Not sure, but my guess is Florence. The nearest big town is Perugia but I don't know if there's an airport there. Flights to/from Florence aren't frequent as say Rome of course, certainly not from overseas. I think you might find that in the end you'll be flying in to Rome and then taking a train to Perugia and then another to the lake.

There is an airport near Perugia. Not sure which airlines fly there. It's not an international.

Nearest airport is Perugia, as said before. It seems there are flights only from Milan. Look at the site

It's only in italian, click on the link arrivi to get the arrival and on partenze for departures.
