Albergo "Bramante": All That Was Needed Was Heat!
In this 14th Century and Renaissance village of 7,000 people, Allan and I really enjoyed our visit. The old town is enclosed by walls, has a ducale Palazzo, numerous churches, ceramics, a darling park, great food, and, fortunately, a great hotel, Albergo Bramante.
There are very few hotels in Urbania and none in the ancient center. We stayed in the one closest to the town. It was about one mile away from the center. The hotel was wonderful except they had no heat turned on, and this particular night was quite cool!
Our room was on the third floor (there is no lift). We had a "matrimoniale bed and a twin bed".
It was spotlessly clean, terrific bathroom, nice balcony, good storage and closets, and a firm bed. Who could ask for more. (Perhaps some heat?) Our Room was 50 Euro.
The manager was quite helpful and more than friendly.
There was a large car park behind the hotel as well as in front of it. We parked in the back because there was also a restaurant, and we wanted to leave space for patrons.
Urbania was one of our favorite cities, and I only wish that this hotel had been in the city center. Otherwise, the Albergo "Bramante" was perfect (except, of course, for the lack of heat!)
