Music Instrument

I visited Aosta last year. WHile there a folk band played music with an accordian and a long wooden instrument held over the shoulder and played with a stick/mallet. I want to know the name of the instrument. I appreciate your help-I have been searching on the internet all year for this. I saw one in a music store in Aosta for sale-should have purchased it then!

I think it's the "Flèy" or Flèye"
The Fléy is the typical rhythmic instrument for the orchester of villages of Val D'aosta. It’s a percussion instrument, staffed by a hard stick of apple tree or ashwood, about 1,15 m long. Its ends are concave, thicker than the same stick and are adorned by multicoloured little bells and ribbons.
You can rest the Fley on the left shoulder, holding by the same side hand, while the other hand hits with a very short piece of wood in alternation the frontal and back side.
