My first ski trip
Sorry for the quality of photos, they were all taken with camera phones.
We flew into Geneva, collected our hire car and drove to Chamonix.
One of my work mates part owns an appartment there so five of us took a trip there. Once we got to Chamonix, there was no snow, after going to a few tourist information centres found there was snow in Italy so our next stop was Cevinia. A half days ski pass cost €21, not all the runs were open so it was a little cheaper. We had all the clothes but we hired the boots, skis and poles.
Well my first time skiing and they got me on a red run!! I was terrified (here it goes blue, red, black). After a much needed stop for a hearty lunch in one of the huts we found a very easy run which was great, really got my confidence up, though I crashed at the end. The run down for everyone was nice and gentle (not like the following day in La Thuile).
