Your climbing essentials...
Day pack, with water, and more water. Walking or climbing boots, with good ankle support. The path is very uneven with many deep ruts from water run-off.
Gloves to ward off burrs. A hat to absorb sweat and shade you from the sun. Sunglasses to hide your bewildered look from fellow travellers. Bandaids, a Tensor wrap (just in case), and Advil. Sunscreen. The walk is a long one. Don't forget your camera. The view from up top is spectacular.
Remember to carry extra batteries. Mine died just as we began our ascent. Pack a light lunch, and enjoy a picnic among the ruins. Ignore the envious looks from fellow trekkers. Take extra water, and offer it for sale. Guaranteed sales.
