I stayed in this comfortable three star hotel in June of 2002 when I spent a week in Garda.
In my opinion it is closer to a four star than three star property as the facilities are good and the staff and service are excellent.
The Hotel is situated perhaps a five minute walk from the town on the main road around the lake. It has comfortable rooms which, although they are not very large, have every facility. There are tennis courts on site and a lovely swimming pool in front of the hotel with perfect views of the lake.
A four course meal is served every evening to those on half board and the hotel is renowned for its salad buffet which is indeed excellent. In addition to this, for all guests, there is an afternoon tea with cakes and coffee to be enjoyed.
There is a nice little bar where I enjoyed many a Campari with freshly squeezed orange juice.
The gardens are lovely and the hotel is in an elevated position with the mountains behind and the shade of lovely cypress trees throughout the property.
The hotel has a private lido about a hundred yards up the road and across the road on the lakeside with its own little beach.
