Bst transport from Mestre rental car dop to Venice?
We - middle aged couple - are planned for some touring in North of Italy using rental car.
Getting to Venice , we'll drop the rental car at Mestre as asked by the rental car company.
What is the best (cost, time, convenience) transportation way to Venice from Mestre? Our final destination is Venice center, close to Grand Canale, at Rio di Noale corner Rio Trapolin.

you are not writing where or who is the rental car.
anyway... did you ask them if they could take you to Piazzale Roma after you dropped the car? who knows? they might do and how to go is solved.

Failing that, you could ask them if they would take you to the train station or the bus station in Mestre. Then you could get either a train or a bus into Venice and then walk or take a vaporetto from Piazzalle Roma or Ferovia.

Yes, it is easy and quick to get into Venice from Mestre by bus or by train.

Frequent services, takes around 10 minutes from Mestre station to Piazzale Roma in Venice.
Vaporetti leave from Piazzale Roma. Your hotel should tell you which is the nearest vaporetto stop.
