Beautiful hotel
Very nice Venice hotel. Rooms are beautiful as is the rest of the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are picky and like to stay in nice places. I wish we could have stayed there longer.

very small room compared to others in the hotel. we were ok with that as we spent little time in it. Clean. Maid service exceptional. Front desk personnel relatively helpful, yet moody at times. wait staff wonderful. we ate bfast once in hotel and did bakery and coffe "bars" the remainder of the stay

Very nice Venice hotel. Rooms are beautiful as is the rest of the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are picky and like to stay in nice places. I wish we could have stayed there longer.
my fiancee and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during easter break. I had never been to venice and was apprehensive about staying on the main island when arriving at night because I had heard it was difficult to find your way around and find correct boats etc. we were delighted with our hotel on the mainland. The bus from the airport dropped us at the station in mestre and hotel was just across the road. It has been regarded as a 2 star on several wesites but i would strongly disagree with this. The staff were very helpful, the hotel was spotless, the rooms were more than adequate- beds very large and comfy, flat screen tv on wall etc. The bathroom was maybe a little small but it was fine for a 2 day visit. Each morning we had a fabulous buffet breakfast- cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, tarts, pastries, croissants, eggs etc.
The train station was 2 min walk away and a ticket to get to onto island of venice cost 1 euro each way. The journey took only 10 mins. We spent the days in venice ( which is quite expensive to eat ans shop in) got train back in evening again ( every train that depart station stops on way in mestre so you can hop on any for 1 euro again).
From what i heard from other travellers, the hotels in Venice itself are very expensive, so I was delighted with our choice. It was great value for money with bookings.com. The proximity to station was handy too for getting bus back to airport. I would have no hesitation staying at the tritone again or recommending it to friends.
Very nice hotel, conveniently located right across the train station venezia mestre 10 min from venice island.
Very good value for money considering equivalent hotel in venice would have been at least 120£
bus to the airport is 100m from the hotel.
Nice and spacious rooms with a high quality furniture, the reception is impressive and the location is very handy, it's across the road to the train station (No noise however) and as every train stops there that is on it's way to venice it's never more than a 5 minute wait for the 10 minute journey time, it's 2euro's for a return ticket so again good value for money.
The down side the hotel bar is only open 5pm till 10:30pm although they offer room service you can't unwind with friends and fellow guests. There is also no ressturant in the hotel that was strange for the size of the hotel.
We also had a issues that we had booked and paid seven months before arriving but they had no record!! this was sorted however it was lucky that there was a room available, in fairness this could have been a third party error.
Internet access and Sky Tv in each room and also had a car hire shop next door.
Nice and clean hotel, across the street (but not facing) the train station. Venice is 10 minutes and 1euro (each way) away, very convenient. Airport bus service is barely a block away.
Free wired (bring a network cable!) Internet access in the room.
Breakfast was quite nice. Front desk staff was very helpful, considerably more friendly than at two other Italian hotels we stayed at on this trip.
This is a very good 4 star hotel. The staff are very helpful and pleasant and the buffet breakfast more than adequate. The rooms are clean and have all the facilities you require. It is very easy to get to the hotel from Marco Polo airport, just take the 'flybus' at 3 euros each, it stops outside the hotel. This is a very good alternative to the more expensive hotels in the centre of Venice. A one euro 15 minute train ride takes you directly to one end of the 'Grand Canal'. For an interesting dining experience try the 'Bepi Venesian' in Mestre.
Well as ive read other reviews,it was a bit 50-50,i was aware the hotel was train ride away from venice, literally only 10min,it cost around e2.00 each way which was good.firstly when we arrived the hotel staff were unfriendly, they tried charging us extra day, telling us we were suppose to arrive day before hand, eventhou i showed him printed copy of reservation.he rudely said said sort it out with manager.ok room was ok,sky tv dose not work,as other reviews ive read theyve said the same.so the hotel obviosly have it for show.the mini bar in room was crap,if your drinkers like meself and have come on late flight looking for drink, the mini bar had 2beers,that it.so we strolled down to what was suppose to be bar,it was restaurant, very expen.everything in around the hotel area close before 10pm.if i was to stay again id stay on island,
We have just returned from a weekend break at the Golden Tuplip in Mestre, just on the outskirts of Venice.
The hotel is located opposite the railway station. It costs a euro to get to Venice, the trains run nealry every 10 minutes and the last train back is at 00.37am. Perfect !
The staff are friendly and the hotel itself is clean. The rooms are not very big, however, are clean and modern. It had a fridge, flat screen t.v, drawers and a wardrobe. We had a king size bed which was extremely comfortable.
The breakfast was more than adequate. There was something available for everyone. The varietys ranged from cereal, pastries, fruit, bread/jam, eggs and bacon and yoghurts.
Overall I would say this is great value for money and much cheaper in comparison to the equivalent hotel in Venice.
Would recommend to anyone looking to go to Venice.
One of my Italian friends recommended that we stay in Mestre as opposed to staying in Venice, how right he was ! The Golden Tulip is right across the road from the Mestre Train Station and literally you can be in Venice in about 10 minutes.
Don't be alarmed, you cannot hear the trains or the traffic as teh hotel isn't on the main road, it certainly didn't disturb us.
The Hotel has no car parking but there is a substantial car park right next door ( roughly 10 Euros a day ). The car park does get busy on a weekend.
The room we had was a triple room which was actually a good size for an average English Hotel. Satellite TV in the room, although you need to ask in reception for access to the mini bar.
Bathroom was compact with a bath/shower combination - water was always hot !
We didn't eat in the Hotel but the breakfast was good in the morning with a variety of hot and cold choices.
The bar closed at 10.30pm so don't expect to come back from a night out in Venice and finish off with a nice night cap.
