Being on Murano was great - like living with the locals and its only a ten minute boat ride to Venice itself. We enjoyed 4 nights here and would return again.
Although not in a particularly pretty setting - its in a backstreet behind the glass factory and has views of a tall fctory chimney rather than a canal view - the rooms themselves are well appointed. Antique furniture, beamed ceilings and glass chandeliers - Murano glass of course! - were teamed with a modern ensuite bathroom - a lovely big walk in shower. Air conditioning is essential for the summer months too. There was a fridge and safe (no charge to use) too.
Although advertised on room only a tea coffee machine was available at breakfast time and croissants were also left out in a breakfast room on the first floor.
