More about Belludi 37

Friendly hotel in great location

by TripAdvisor Member RJB21

My husband and I stayed here for one night as part of our honeymoon. I think we probably got one of the better rooms because of this, as it was spacious with two French windows and a balcony. The room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel has a great location -- very central and easy to reach from the railway station (we got a taxi on the way with no problems and the tram, which stops just around the corner, on the way back).

The staff were really helpful and friendly -- always seemed to be smiling and ready to offer advice. We were greeted on our arrival with coffee, orange juice and croissants, which was a lovely and relaxing way to start our visit to Padua.

There were also lots of other nice little touches like free use of the internet; breakfast served in our room; the offer of a late check-out; and umbrellas by the door to borrow if it's raining. The only drawback was that there isn't a lift.

No, it's not the Ritz but in my opinion it was very good value and a very friendly place to stay.

Like a breath of fresh air!

We were impressed by the great value and central location of Belludi 37 (just off Piazza St Anthony in a quite street) and, above all, by
the extremely friendly reception. We are seasoned travellers and have seldom encountered such service. The rooms are by far the largest of any budget-class hotel we encountered and are furnished in a modern, minimalistic, style. Being recently renovated, they have that refreshing feel rather than the Victorian style so common in Italy. The beds are most comfortable and large. We were welcomed with coffee and biscuits and, to our astonsihment, were presented with a bottle of wine on checkout! Padua is a fascinating city and we
will not hesitate to return and stay again in Belludi 37.

So close to everything.

Thank you for a nice stay. The Hotel is so close to Basilica Santo Antonio I loved just walking out the door and going there.
Thank you to the staff. When the airline lost my luggage and then brought it in they took good care of it all.
I really enjoyed my stay. I will return.

Having our own bathroom ....

by TripAdvisor Member trendy_couple

... was what we would have liked. Unfortunately it did not happen but anyway staying there was the right chance to experience Padoua as we wanted. As we could see other rooms were with their private bathroom, at least the half of them. Ok, doesn't matter. Padoua is a nice city with wonderful paintings of Giotto, we definitely suggest to see them. The best period should be may cause of the weather.

A Four Star Hotel At A Two Star Price

by TripAdvisor Member irvc

In July when we were seeking a Padua hotel, this hotel was ranked #1 on Trip Adviser, despite having a 2 star rating. We learned that the lack of an elevator was the reason for the 2 star rating, but staff were very helpful in taking our luggage to the top floor(where we had a good view of the Basilica de Sant Antonio, as well as a large rooom). We arrived after a long and difficult drive from Ferrara and coffee and biscotti were brought up to our room, with a smile!!!The breakfast was varied, plentiful, and nicely served. However, the best part of this hotel(aside from it's super location) is the staff. They are all outstanding in every way: courteous, cheerful, helpful in so many ways(printing out driving directions to many places, providing great touring suggestions,...). We can't imagine a better place to stay.

Belludi: As Advertised

We chose this hotel based on positive reviews on TripAdvisor by previous guests. They were spot on and anyone going to Padova can't go wrong staying here, thanks to the helpfulness of the Desk people, Marco and Oscar, and Leni who provided breakfast every morning.

Nice experience, a good two star hotel

by TripAdvisor Member tripcare

We saw the hotel on its own website and it appeared quite good even though it claims to appear more charming than what it is. Anyway we had a nice experience in Padova. The city is full of nice corners with shops and amenities. All the greatest fashion shops are quite nice and cheaper than usa. Nice city and nice shopping time.

Lovely hotel, great position, superb service

by TripAdvisor Member Bas27

Stayed in the Belludi37 for one night in june 2007 and loved every minute of it. The family who runs the hotel is extremely welcoming and helpful, knowledgable about the area and the local bar and restaurant scene and full of spontaneous (and very good) advice. They welcomed us with a capucino and a brioche and said goodbye to us with a bottle of wine. The location of the hotel is ideal, bang in the center of Padova, although a bit difficult to find. The facilities are fine, with sparse but stylish room, a nice breakfast and free internet access in the lobby. Highly recommended!

wonderful

by TripAdvisor Member drausioph

I had been fascinated by the hotel Belludi37, at my arrival in Padua.
The location is perfect, practically in front of Saint Anthony Church, very close to the most important sites and charming restaurants.
The welcome with coffe or tea, cakes, soft drinks was such a pleasant surprise!!!
Decoration and atmosphere of the hotel are absolutely "good taste".
Courtesy and care, with a perfect cleaning, take me to say that Belludi37 was a total confirmation to my expectations and real gem in the heart of the wonderful Padua.
I will come back!

Lovely Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member Helenor_8

We stayed here for 2 nights. Having stayed in Padua before we wanted something a bit more central. Which this is. Having read the other reviews we requested a front facing room and to our great delight got a room with a balcony. From one direction you can see the basillica Del Santo and the other Prato Della Valle. My son, who lives in Padua, said he thought it must be the best view in the town.
It was easy to catch trams and buses a few seconds away from the end of the road.
We will definitely stay at this hotel again and if it is warmer will sit with the French windows open and have breakfast in the room.
The staff were most helpful.
