Bad choice or bad luck?

I spent one night at this hotel in May 2010, when I attended a course on the opposite side of the street. I had chosen it for its lying so close to the seat of the course, even if it was quite expensive (70 euro a night).
It took me quite long to find it, because it's at number 2, but it faces number 21! It doesn't lie at the beginning of the Corso del Popolo, as I would have expected.
Anyway, I finally arrived and got the key of my room. I went in and... oh my! It looked quite like a jail! I was lucky because I only needed to sleep there one night and not to stay there for several days on holiday.
Moreover, a tedious noise at night prevented me from sleeping. On the following morning, the receptionist told me it was the noise of a curtain moving under the rain and the wind of that night.
The only good side I could find was that breakfast was included in the price of my room.
Was I unlucky or was this hotel not so good?

Unique Quality: It is really close to the railway station and breakfast is included in the price of the room. There is also an internet point, but I didn't have time to use it.
