Hi people,I need a few answers!
I'll be staying in Pernumia (about 20km from Padova)so I wonder what's the best way for coming to Padova several times? By train (which would require going to Monselice first, i suppose) or by bus directly from Pernumia (if that's possible!) What is the better (cheaper/faster) option?
Are there any buses from Pernumia and how often do they run? I am not able to find this information anywhere...

Enjoy the architecture found in Padua especially that surrounding the Prato delle Valle. I had never heard of the Prato delle Valle so when I reached this enormous piazza I was astonished at its size and beauty. So many statues and so many people relaxing in this large open space. I tried describing it to friends afterwards but just couldn't come close and none of the pictures I took gave it any justice. So you'll just have to go and see for yourself.
Be impressed by the Basilica di Sant'Antonio. This Basilica combines Byzantine, Gothic and Romanesque styles in such a way that everything fits in perfectly. The Saint's tomb can be found on the left side of the church together with many acknowledgments of miracles performed by Sant' Antonio. It is usual to find a queue of pilgrims waiting to touch the tomb and leave their messages and prayers. I really enjoyed my visit to the Basilica. I was caught up in the sense of devotion and could understand why this Basilica has become one of the most popular shrines in the world.
Who was Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, never heard of her before visiting the University of Padova. The inscription in Italian says; "prima donna laureata nel mondo", the first woman ever in the whole world who graduated in the university. The statue stands in the ground floor of the univerity of Padova.
Every first Sathurday of the month there is a great shopping fair on Prato della Valle. It is a very good oportunity to buy cheap clothes and shoes. This two guys, dressed in the medieval clothes, have participated to the show which took place on Prato della Valle during the Maratona del Santo.
It was dedicated to St. Peter, and once was a small church built in Roman era. The adjacent church from 1100's is St. Johns. the complex is huge, and the Duomo pillars grand. It has had much renovation, so the front is new looking compare to what history buffs would like to see. A cyrpt contains fragments of colored medieval frescoes.
The Duomo may not be always open-or at least it was closed 12-3 when we were there.
