my stay at this hotel in Padua nearby the University and Basilica has been very nice and comfortable. i've been in padua only a week end and i needed a not so much expensive hotel. Igea was perfect: clean, comfortable and just a ston's throw from the main attractions... a very good solutions to visit the city :DD
Unique Quality: proximity to the top padua attractions
i've been in this hotel last week end for a trip to Padua and its magnificent Basilica.
The hotel is very nice, with comfortable rooms and amazing bathrooms and facilities. it is also nearby the main city attractions, like the Basilica and Giotto's Cappella degli Scrovegni!!!!
Unique Quality: great city views, comfortable bed and amazing bathroom!
Not a luxury hotel, but nice and clean. The rooms are rather spacious with clean showers. There are no great views and it's not a place to hang out in. But, if you need a place to sleep at night and have a decent breakfast before going out for the day, this is a perfect place. On one side it's on the edge of the centre so you can easily get your car here (and even park it...) and on the other hand it's close enough so you can just walk around. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from St. Anthony Basilica.
It's a nice three stars hotel in the centre, near the hospital: staff people are helpful and friendly and the rooms are nice. A tip: breakfast is very expensive - 8 euros per person, so it's a lot cheaper to book a room only
Unique Quality: It's within walking distance to many attractions of the old town - and the little lanes that surround it are pedestrian lanes, so it's really a quiet place
Directions: right opposite the hospital - by bus from the station it's about 5 minutes - or else 25 minutes on foot
130,000 ITL (double room, booked via website) and 160,000 ITL booked elsewhere. Breakfast 15,000 ITL per person
Website gives 2003 prices as 75-105 Euros for double room
Unique Quality: Reasonably cheap (book on their website to get a discount)- good location, in old arcaded street, has secure underground garage with CCTV. All the staff speak English.. but I didn't try their breakfasts
Directions: Via Ospedale, right next to the Ospedale Civile, in quite a good location, inside the old town walls, and only 5 minutes walk to San Antonio's Basilica or Prato delle Valle, and about 10 minutes walk
