CAMPING BELLA ITALIA 2004 & 2007

by Josibezz

"CAMPING BELLA ITALIA (2004)"

Our youngest son Matthew trying to get mingled with the crowd of girls in the pool area having fun with the animation team of Camping Bella Italia.

"Camping Bella Italia (2004)"

This is one of the five pools one can find in this Campsite.

"Camping Bella Italia"

Clayton, Ryan and Matthew refused to come out of the water for lunch. They preferred to starve rather than leaving the pool :):):)

"Camping Bella Italia"

Not the least a Kid's Club and a playing area for the children any time during the day.

"Camping Bella Italia"

No we have'nt bought that young boy from the supermarket, just food, sweets and drinks to store in our bungalow for our week stay in this Campsite.

"Camping Bella Italia (2007)"

Three years after the same boy in the carriage (in the pic above) decided to spend some time by the pool.

Venice to Lake Garda

by Strawberrygirl

Hi there everyone : )
I am going to be travelling by train from Venice to Lake Garda. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where would be the best area to stay - in relation to being close to the train station as we will not have our own transport. We are hoping to stay for 3 nights and then we are heading to Florence. I would be grateful of any information that could be offered in relation to accommodation, must do things, eating out etc. Thanking you all in advance (",)

Hi... only general considerations.
The 2 train stations are Peschiera del Garda e Desenzano. Both in the southern, no deep water and no mountains around side of the lake, but the more lively for discos and so on. From there, anyway, you can easily move along the shores by bus or boat, so you can see the northern side /with the best scenaries and charming villages, IMHO.
Anyway... Enjoy!
Ciao
Francesco

I hope i am correct in assuming that by Bella Italia, you mean the campground.
Anyway, trains run every half hour from Villafranca de Verona to Pescheria.
I dont know how you get from the train station to the camp ground but Im sure there will be local buses(check when you get off the train)

Re: bella italia

Sorry to desagree, Dominic. Villafranca has a minor train station and line, and the station is far from the airport.
The best way to reach Peschiera (by the way, peschiera is in Veneto, not in Lombardy) is the shuttle bus to the main verona train station (Porta Nuova). From there you can take the trin, but probably a APTV bus (starting from the very same spot in front of the station) make more sense, because it makes much more stops, and has more chances to drop you nearer to your destination, if it is not exactly the train station of peschiera). See my Torri del Benaco transportation tip for detail on lines.

Ciao
Francesco

Francesco, you are correct - my mistake, I once took a train from Villafranca and it stayed on my mind.
