Travel Tips for Portogruaro

Museo Nazionale Concordiese

by croisbeauty

Museo Nazionale Concordiese is situated in Via del Seminario 22, right opposite to the Villa Comunale.
The basis for the museum's exibitions first came from the Muschietti collection of the late 18th century. Later an enormous quantity of exhibits came from the urban and burial excavations of the ancient site of Concordia Sagitaria.
The museum was constructed in 1885 in the form of a basilica with three naves.

Amazing chimneys

by JLBG

Many houses in Portogruaro have this type of strange chimneys that look more like a trumpet than a regular chimney. I have never found this shape of chimneys anywhere else. I suppose they are designed to increase the efficiency of the exhaust, but that does not fit with what I know of fluids mechanic ! They are completely different from what can be seen in Peschiera del Garda, in a different province (Verona) but neighbour to Portogruaro and Venezia province. (precision given by Mikebond whom I thank)
