Treviso porticos

The charm of Treviso is also given by its cobbled streets with porticos.
As the locals explain, the porticos allow them to walk in the town even when it rains without using the umbrella or getting wet.
And even one of the symbols of Treviso, Loggia dei Cavalieri, it is actually a square portico covered in wood.

Seminario Vescovile is also housing among others the Seminary Library with 150,000 books, the Zoological Museum Giuseppe Scarpa with 2,500 preserved animals, the Ethnological Museum "Grossa" of Venezuelan Indians with object of this old civilization, the Archaeological Museum "Campagner" of pre-Columbian Ands civilizations and Istituto Diocesano di Musica.

Shortly after leaving the railway station, I came across this bridge crossing the River Sile (or Sil) - The River of Silence.

Battistero

The baptistery is adjacent to the Dome is represents the unique Romanic church left in Treviso and is dating from the XI century.
Dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, as per traditions, the Baptistery has a sober facade while in inside holds beautiful frescos in Byzantine style.
Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore

The church of Santa Maria Maggiore is situated in the northeastern part of the city, very close to the end of delightful Riviera Garibaldi. It was built in 1474, and containing a tomb by Bambaia, also, there you can see "Madonna" originally frescoed by Tommaso da Modena. Next to the church stands the bell-tower which is of a very huge proportions.
