More about 3C
We spent here a night at the end of August, a very nice place with convenient location, just 1 min walk from San Zaccaria boat station. It has been renovated recently and everything is new and branded. The breakfast was well served. As it is B&B and there is no reception desk and you will need to advise Fabio about time of your arrival and you will be waited there on agreed time. I would certainly recommend this place.
Very Enchanting Stay!!
I went to the romantic city Venice with both of my parents and made bookings to the Venice 3C prior to arrival. We arrived and saw a friendly face patiently for us with our name held by him. He was Fabio, the owner of the lovely hotel. His efficient correspondence with me through email was very much appreciated. We had a warm and hospitable welcome from him and he brought us on a private taxi to his hotel. When we arrived, we were all amazed with the beautiful and just beyond amazing hotel!! Its had beautiful marbles from 400 years ago and the brick walls has soo many stories to tell. The enchanting chandeliers just beautify the whole room and they have a kitchen that has tea and coffee, oven/microwave, etc. The antique furnitures are just immaculately well taken care of and just also full of life. The hotel definitely has an amazing history itself!!! The breakfast has wide selections and he came out of his way to find us alternative food – tuna, additional eggs and cheese as we do not eat meat. We were very thankful for his kind consideration, and being very approachable also very hospitable. We were also greeted by his lovely wife and children and that was also made us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were always kept clean and should we have any enquiries or hesitations, Fabio would be able to answer everything and get back to you as soon as he can. He is easily contacted and very informative. We enjoyed the rest of our stay and on our way back to the airport, all the private taxis was on strike and we were unable to get on and as my parents are not really well enough to walk far should we use the AliLaguna especially with the heavy bags that we had to bring (we vowed in the future to always travel light!!) Fabio again helped us to go through the ordeal. He sent us to the airport himself in the taxi leading us to a much simpler way to the airport. He was soo great and we were soo thankful to him!! We didn’t just had a wonderful holiday, we have met a great friend!!! I would highly recommend this Venice 3C hotel to everyone as you wont just have a lovely stay but you will feel soo warm and welcomed in the heart of Venice and promise you a wonderful stay!!!!
Best Choice in Venice
Of all the places we stayed in, 3C was the most charming, and had the friendliest property owner! Fabio is very proud of his hotel, and of Venice. He and his wife had valuable information to make our trip the best it could be.
The location is convenient and awesome: 2 min. walk from San Marco piazza, practically beside shops and coffee bars, and 1 - 5 min. from the vaporettos. Plus you have lots of freedom as to when to return at night.
The rooms are beautiful (marble?) and clean. The air con was great and much appreciated. Bring earplugs, almost any accomodation in the main cities of Italy has street noise. The shower is small, common in Italy. Our bathroom was beautiful!
Fabio served wonderful breakfast! The coffees he made rocked. If I return to Venice again, for sure I want to stay at 3C.
A Venetian Mystery Solved - Ideally So!
Like a previous 3C reviewer we thought we had booked for the much admired Al Teatro, the B & B that currently rates 5 in the trip-advisor listings. Instead email correspondence prior to our arrival made it clear that we were in fact expected at 3C, which was clearly a separate establishment in a different, if highly desirable, location. Fortunately a quick check on trip advisor was fairly reassuring; recent guests had only good things to say about what was a new set-up. However, it was hard to see how that very engaging family atmosphere reputedly provided by Eleonora in a traditional setting at Al Teatro could possibly be replicated at 3C, which had apparently undergone extensive modernisation under its owner, Fabio. And what did 3C stand for since it wasn't part of the address?
Well, of course, it turns out that Eleonora and Fabio are married to one another and have 3 children under twelve. The 5-year Al Teatro venture has been so successful that two years ago they acquired this other flat, which Fabio has since been remodelling and upgrading internally, and where since July he has had three rooms available for bed-and-breakfast.
The 3 'C' s, according to Eleonora and Fabio, are descriptive and stand for "central, clean and cheaper". Well, as other reviewers have pointed out there's no question that the first two are true and that, given the horrendous going rates in Venice where living space is at an absolute premium, the rooms at 3C represent very good value. A couple, we paid €140 a night for a modest-sized room that was adequate for our needs since we travel lightly. If you've much baggage, a bigger one at €160 would be preferable. Once we learned to shutter the windows fully and rely on the silent but extremely efficient air conditioning, night noise was not a problem.
Subsequently we were welcomed on a brief visit to Al Teatro by Eleonora herself, who proved to be just as pleasant and engaging as her reviewers had led us to believe. Of course, 3C doesn't have that Venetian family atmosphere that Al Teatro is known for, but it is in superb condition. Most importantly, every morning it does have Fabio, a very genuine (in both senses) Venetian, who is as obliging as he is principled. He is a mine of information on the locality but understandably cautious about recommending restaurants, which we found are often overpriced and of indifferent quality.
Meeting Fabio and Eleonora gave our 5-day holiday an added, particularly human, dimension. It was so good to hear how much they treasure their uniquely beautiful city, where the day-to-day lives of resident Venetians on modest incomes, a dwindling number, are not that easy. Of course, Venice has always been reliant upon commerce, as its beauty testifies; and, as a crucial part of human heritage, that beauty has to be seen. In their own small way, then, Fabio and Eleonora are committed to making that possible. Of course, theirs is a commercial venture too but they are, to be sure, the very nicest Merchants of Venice!
You can never tire of those marvellous vistas from the bridges and water buses (vaporetti). However, the high point of our trip was visiting the wonderfully frivolous architectural exhibition, the Venice Biennale, on two sites: the open air Giardini and the Arsenale, a series of huge cavernous buildings that take your breath away, plus that enormous, lovely old crane that used to do some really heavy lifting when cannons and such were made there.
Great location, new facilities, great owner
My wife and I stayed at B&B 3C for 2 nights in September. 3C was just opened in June and so everything is new and clean from the beds to teh bathrooms to the interior. Fabio was a wonderful host whether he was making us a tasty breakfast or giving us suggestions on where to go in Venice. His restaurant suggestions were always great. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Venice.
Fabio saved our venice stay
We arrived in Venice on my wifes birthday and checked into the B&B that I had booked 3 months earlier. An hour after we checked in the owner knocked on our door and said that there was a problem. She had overbooked and we were not who she had expected. Somehow she had not gotten our credit card number to confirm the reservation. We were stunned and she was frantic. She called everyone that she knew and got a hold of Fabio. He had a cancellation for the same three days, and agreed to let us stay at the 3C for a reduced rate. We loved the 3C very much. Excellent location. Very clean, friendly, excellent breakfast, wonderful beds, and bathrooms like you wish you had at home. We would highly recommend Fabio's Venice 3C to anybody. Thanks, again Fabio for a great time in Venice.
Best B&B In Venice
My husband and I arrived for our honeymoon in September to the most beautiful room we had stayed in while in Europe. Fabio was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. He makes the best coffee and espressos to go along with your breakfast too!! We highly recommend for anyone going to Venice to stay at Fabio's!!! Thank you Fabio for such a wonderful memory!

Fantastic - Clean - Reasonably Priced B&B in Venice!
B & B 3C is a wonderful place to stay in Venice. While it is not your typical over the top guilded hotel, it offers a very modern twist on an old home. The rooms are clean with the most comfortable beds in the country! Set in a recently renovated home, the bathrooms are well lit and roomy. The bedroom we stayed in was not large, but it had a nice view to the street with a huge window bringing in light. And, if you leaned out, you could see the waterway. Breakfast was very good - Italian coffee, cakes, meats, cheese, fruit, bread and jams.
Easy to get to and very near to St. Marco (just one block and a half away from the main waterway, I would recommend this option to those looking for a clean and quiet (by Venice standards) stay. Your access to Venice is amazing from here and Fabio is a great host- good recommendations on where to eat and what to do. His wife Elenora who also runs a B & B, made our reservations for both the stay and our dinner. For the price and convenience, you just cannot beat B&B 3C - I will definitely return here on my next visit!
3C will not dissapoint you
We are an American family of 4 living in Germany and went to Venice for 5 nights. I generally rely on TripAdvisor for our hotel picks and here it served us very well again. 3C B&B is after 2+ years of renovation a very comfortable little B&B finished to a high standard. Fabio is your host and he is very gracious, helpful, and friendly. The room we had was a bit tight with 2 extra beds for our 11 and 14 year-old girls. But for us, the room was just a sleeping place since we were out all day till late evening then sleeping late to ultimately be motivated by the complete breakfast offering with yogurt, cereals, breads, fruits, cheeses, salami and, of course, Italian coffee brewed by Fabio or, as my girls enjoyed: real hot chocolate with steamed milk and cocao.
The rooms are adequately sized for 2 with a nice LCD telee to catch up on news, and contemporary high-standard bathroom. I like the high-tech automatic lighting, card sensor door locks and, eventually ,if Fabio gets a technician to finish the job, there will be an internet terminal in every room (hardware in place but no network.)
The location can hardly be better: 200m from the vaporetto stop for all the main lines (including from the airport and to the islands), 300m to the St. Mark's Square, and all needed conveniences (restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, bars etc) all outside the door within zero to 5 mins walk.
Highly recommended but make sure your family can stand to be cozy if you are more than two.
Fabulous Bed and Breakfast!!
My mother and I found this wonderful Bed and Breakfast by chance and are so glad that we did. After a little confusion finding the location as the sign is a very small door ringer we were welcomed by Fabio into his lovely and updated bed and breakfast. We were so pleased by the modern style of the hotel. Fabio was warm and gracious during our informal and helpful checkin process. In the morning there was a very nice breakfast served by Fabio himself. I plan to send other family members there and to return myself when possible. I highly recommed this bed and breakfast for its professional, pleasant ownership and clean, spacious and delightful rooms.
