Bed and Breakfast in Venice
This is a beautiful bed and breakfast near Piazza San Marco. The owners were very courteous and very helpful. The room was very clean and attractive. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Looking for a good place to stay
My husband and I will be in Venice for a few days this summer. Does anyone know of a good place to stay in San Marco, somewhat close to the Rialto Bridge? We are on a tight budget. Thanks!

Try a search on www.venere.com. You can specify what type of accommodation you're looking for and book directly.
We came up with Al Campaniel/The Campanile guesthouse near the San Toma waterbus stop. It was clean, smart and excellent value!

I stayed at the B & B called "Locanda Ai Bareteri", in San Marco, really close to Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's Square. From the outside, it's not very charming (it's in an old alley), but the rooms are very good, comfortable and spacious. I chose to have a private toilet, which was very good and modern. There was a minibar in the bedroom, BUT no TV. Well, you're not going to Venice to watch TV.... The breakfast was good too. The receptionist (I forgot his name) speaks English and he's very friendly. The price wasn't expensive compared to other places in Venice, but there're cheaper ones if you want to look for them. I can't remember how much I payed last September.
