More about Al Teatro Bed & Breakfast

Wonderful place, great location, nice hosts!

by A TripAdvisor Member

Our stay at the Al Teatro Bed & Breakfast could not have been better. The room was large and beautiful. The outlets were able to accept different plugs and voltage and best of all...there was air conditioning! The breakfast was the best of any B&B we stayed in - there was cake!

Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely, romentic, and fantastic

We stayed at Al Teatro in May 2005, and this was a highlight of our grand European trip. Overlooking the canal, the large (and very clean) room, cripsy white sheets on king size bed, great bathroom, and fun breakfast in this authentic Venetian home - just fantastic for the romantic holiday we craved for a long time. Surprisingly Venice was not at all crowded in spring (as opposed to Florence few days before), and we greatly enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the canals - no cars, motor bikes etc - just lovely. If you can, stay at Al Teatro rather than anywhere else, you will sure love it as much as we did !!!

we spent three lovely nights in this little bed and breakfast in a superb location. we feel so lucky to have discovered it, and would highly recommend it. the family atmosphere is endearing and the room and balcony are so romantic we will definitely return one day. there can be nowhere more peaceful and beautiful than this place.
thank you eleanora and family for a great stay.

Al Teatro Bed and Breakfast is not only a nice place to stay, it is a place that will make you want to come back. The location is outstanding. It is away from the hustle and bustle but on easy walk to Piazza san Marco (it is only a nice 5-10 min walk !). Eleonora and Fabio will welcome you warmly (they are lovely !). Their friendship and their knowledge of the city will make you appreciate Venice even more and you will see some aspects of the city from a Venetian point of view. The bedrooms are spacious and impaccable. They look out onto the famous teatre La fenice and when you look out of the window you may see (and hear if there is a singer) gondolas passing by. Brillant ! We will definitely go back (we have already stayed there 3 times) and we recomend you to all of our Friends.

Beautiful Venezia

The Bed & Breakfast Al teatro is located at the back of the famous theatre La Fenice, in Venice. It has only four rooms, and they serve a very homely breakfast. Nice spot and very good value for money!

Al Teatro is the Perfect place to stay

by A TripAdvisor Member

I booked to stay at Al Teatro as a surprise birthday present for my husband and it was just perfect. Right in the heart of the city with gondola's gliding past the window, Al Teatro has the quality of a hotel room with the relaxed atmosphere of a family home. Staying here was really good for a short break. San Marco was just a stroll away and everything was really close so we could make the most of the week-end. Fabio and Eleonora were so kind and helpful and the breakfast each day was lovely. The house itself is really old with lovely features. I would recommend Al Teatro to anyone looking for an authentic experience of a Venetian family home with great facilities at a very reasonable price. We visited in April and the weather was bright but cool. There was heating when we needed it and there was air-conditioning too which I am sure is needed in the summer. The bedroom was lovely and the bathroom was very new and well equiped. Al Teatro is just behind La Fenice Opera House. The directions sent by Eleanora were very clear. Just go to the end of the path and look for the small plaque on the door. Its takes just a few minutes to walk from San Marco even with luggage so very convenient for arrival and departure.

Amongst the Gondolas

Got off the plane in Venice, walked to the wharf, hopped on a ferry, great boat ride arriving just outside St Marco. Never been to Venice before - but we still managed to walk from the ferry to the Al Teatro B&B in about 10 minutes - through really nice streets and over little canals. Obviously a great location - we were able to walk to all the major places in minutes. Also enjoyed strolling the streets at night - beautiful. We booked our room over the internet. Eleanora was really welcoming and most helpful. Breakfast was great - a big selection - and she even made us hot chocolate (we are not into coffee). We had our own key to the residence and could come and go as we pleased.
Our room was really clean, comfortable(great bed and shower etc) and our window looked over the canal - yes we had Gondolas going passed/singing etc.
A wonderful choice if you want to be right in the centre of Venice(stay outside the centre and you dont really get a feel for the place)
In hindsight we made a great choice. The picture is looking out from our room.

Just perfect!

We stayed for two nights, and all I can say is that their treatment was fantastic, and the B&B is located in a perfect location, three little channels/rivers just under our feet, a lovely bridge, gondolas... and a very nice room with a huge bed. I recommend it so very much! Nuria, Spain.

wonderful little place

by TripAdvisor Member Bklyn628

My family and I just returned from visiting several cities in Italy. In Venice we stayed at the B & B al Teatro, a lovely little B & B in an old building on one of the smaller canals. Our room, a quad, though small, felty roomy with high ceilings, clean white walls, drapes and bedspreads and three large windows that opened onto the canal. We all loved standing at the windows and watching the gondolas and water taxis passing through the canal. The bathroom was roomy, newly updated and spotless as was the room. The breakfast was simple but lovely and the family owners, Eleanora, Fabio and their 3 young children were welcoming and helpful. Centrally located, a great place to stay in Venice. Oh, and the AC worked really well - very important in the middle of July.

Family-friendly with a View!

by A TripAdvisor Member

The Bed and Breakfast Al Teatro offered our young family of 5 a spotless, large room with 3 windows overlooking a small canal in Venice. It was a quiet location but very central to major attractions (like St. Mark's Plaza) as well as easy public transportation use. The room was simple but with a few lovely antiques and details to make it special without a "luxury" price! And the family-run atmosphere of this B&B was just perfect to make our stay more comfortable and personal.
