Locker in the Train station

Hi there,
I was wondering if there any locker to put the lugage over day/night in the Venice Main station (It is Mestre or Santa Lucia the station closer to St. Marc Piaza?)

Hy,
I don't remember for any lockers but there is a left luggage open 06.00/24.00.
The name of the station near San Marco is Santa Lucia.

Santa Lucia station is in Venice, next to P.Roma. Mestre is in Mestre, a town on the mainland.
According to www.grandistazioni.it (the official site for main Italian railway stations) there is a left luggage facility (not lockers, I don't think) by platform 1. Look for signs to 'deposito bagagli'.
Open daily from 0600 to 2400. 4 euro per item for the first 5 hours, then 0.5 euro for the sixth to twelfth hour, then 0.2 euro for any more hours.

Pay attention, that the price is for ITEM, no matter how big it is (even a parcell)!

This church was part of my everyday panorama in Venice. We stayed on Giudecca Island, where you could look across and see the church of Santa Maria della Salute and farther up, the campanile of St. Mark's Square. But right across the canal was this church, built by Dominican friars and richly decorated, including a ceiling painting by Tiepolo and a painting of the Crucifixion by Tintoretto.

A very quiet St Marcos Square (only because of the terrible weather)... Our Italian friend told us that it is very unusual for the square to be so quiet but the bad weather must have kept most tourists away...perfect for us...
Local or TOURIST???

Here are some pictures of people in Venice. Some of them appear to be people of Venice just going about their business. Some of them are definitely tourists. Which is which?
For instance, are these people sitting on a balcony at their home, just enjoying lunch looking out over the Grand Canal? Or are they tourists at a hotel?
Are the people looking over the side of the bridge tourists?
How about the lady getting on the water bus?
