The Clock Tower with its blue enamel and gold leaf clock face is a beautiful feature on a grand square like San Marco. It doesn't only show the time, but also the position of the sun, the lunar phases and the signs of the zodiac. It's mechanism is been made by Swiss watchmakers Piaget. It has a huge bell on top, that should strike every hour on the hour. Under restoration at the moment.
