Close to the Grand Canal and a short walk to the train and bus stations, this hotel is good situated if you like to stroll along the little streets and many bridges before coming into the more busy Venice around Rialto and San Marco.
Rooms are clean with venetian-style furniture, bath/shower, telephone, TV and safe. Breakfast is served in buffet style.
We stayed in this place last week ( July 2005) for three nights and is an excellent family hotel with no noice ( hotels near the grand canal are rated very well but for the noice - unles you can afford a 5* deluxe)
This hotel is so close to every attraction and the location itself makes it great - where one has to go through narrow lanes to the hotel.
The staff (the front desk) is great and also speak english.
The only drawback is finding this place - though this hotel is so close to the railway station - the hotel map is not useful. The directions lead you to the dead end - we infact reached a dead end.
Tip: if you have walked for more than 5 minutes from the station - you have lost your way - just get back and do a re-search.
