It was the worst stay of any hotel I have ever been in. I stayed in Biasin (which is the annex across the street). The glass door was cracked and we were locked in from midnight to 8 am. The price was cheap (40 euro per night) but not worth it at all. Especially because I moved to another hotel two nights later, paid the same amount and had a much better hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE, EVEN BUDGET TRAVELERS.

Is hard to find a room into a city with no available rooms. So, I took what I find: just a bad between bed-sheets. In front of this hotel, crossing the canal I drink my capuccino every morning, because next to the caffe shop, was a fish market on the street.
I felt like I was part of a computer game cald "Zeus". If you know that game, you know how people came with the market, open it or close it. was exactly the same with this market, every day and every evening...
Can anuone reccomend cheap accommodation either in Venice or Mestre or even Chioggia?
The Hotel Marte at F.ta Di Cannaregio - Cannaregio 338 in Venice is clean and reasonably priced, or was when I stayed not long ago.
Unless you have already booked you are unlikely to get accommodation in Venice in July or August.
I normally go in September or June when there are less visitors about but everything is still buzzing.

There is one review on Tripadvisor from some Canadian who had a bad time there, but mine was good 10 days no problems.
