Perfect Location for a Venetian Break
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the centre of Venice and it's attractions without spending a small fortune. The hotel is a good, bog standard, 3 star place. The rooms are a good but not generous size, they are comfortable but the furnishings are a little dated. The room and bathroom was very clean when we arrived and the daily service kept up that standard. There isn't much of a view from the rooms as the windows look out at the walls of neighbouring buildings less than 2 metres away - but if you want a view just step outside and walk a few steps - one of the best in the world is there. There were no English language news channels on the TV, but that was probably a good thing as you shouldn't be wasting your time in Venice watching TV!
The minibar is expensive (as all minibars are) but not as expensive as some. And when put into context with prices in the shops in this area of Venice it's actually quite competitive! The cans of coke are the same price as a shop in the same street and mineral water was actually cheaper in the minibar!
Unique Quality: The outstanding quality of this hotel was without doubt it's location. It took less than 3 minutes to get from reception to the Doge's Palace on St Mark's Square. This has to be a major bonus!

Ideal location
Really friendly staff who all spoke English (to some extent). The rooms are small but very clean and provided with most of the things you will need (no kettle). The bathroom is not the smallest I have ever tried to shower in and everything worked well. A reasonable choice of things for breakfast, though its a small hotel so don't expect too much. A broken light bulb and door lock were both replaced within minutes which is also useful. Only five tv stations available showing the usual Italian quiz shows and news shows and dubbed USA shows.
Unique Quality: Fantastic location. One minute walk from San Zacaria waterbus stop, two minutes from St Mark's Square, ten minute walk to the Rialto Bridge (if you don't get lost).

We arrived in Venice without accomodation. I had done some preliminary internet research and decided that we should stay near Piazza San Marco. So we took the water ferry down to the pier, walked off and into the alley directly in ahead, and on the left we found this hotel. Price was reasonable, it looked very nice, and the front desk staff who were very friendly said they had rooms available.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and gave lots of tips on where to eat and what to do.
