We arrived in Venice without accomodation. I had done some preliminary internet research and decided that we should stay near Piazza San Marco. So we took the water ferry down to the pier, walked off and into the alley directly in ahead, and on the left we found this hotel. Price was reasonable, it looked very nice, and the front desk staff who were very friendly said they had rooms available.

Family run hotel. Very nice rooms with bath. It was very cold and wet in Venice when we stayed and rooms were very nice & warm.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and gave lots of tips on where to eat and what to do.
