Lovely little place by the small canal
Simple, cute, clean place by the small canal in Santa Croce district away from all the tourist traps. Near by the bus stop, where you get off coming from the airport.
Unique Quality: This place has an amazing restaurant downstairs called Restaurant Ribo. They get you liqueured up pretty good and the food is amazing.

Cheap & Good
This place was recently renovated, so the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable - with en-suite bathroom. The room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels too. A simple breakfast was provided at the restaurant downstairs. I think its good value for what I paid.
Staff there were friendly - Just dont talk or laugh too loud - they'd call your room and tell you "Silencio!" (I think thats "be quiet" in Italian)

Just returned from Locanda Salieri for 3 nights. Lovely hotel, brilliant new bathroom. Nice location overlooking the canal (we had the back view but still ok & very light). Very good situation only a few minutes walk to the bus station (express bus to airport 3 euros) and the vaporetto stop and the railway station. Patisserie just across the canal to have your coffee and brioche for breakfast for a couple of euros each. Excellent value - we had a great time.
