Hotel Rigel
Unique Quality: This is an excellent hotel to stay in. It is opened from February to the end of November and is situated on a central but quiet street of the Lido di Venezia. Only 5 minutes from Venice, the isle is connected by four efficient ferry-boat services, that run 24 hours a day. Hotel has 42 rooms, and three floors connected by a lift. The rooms are very tasteful and some have a balcony. All rooms have bathroom and shower, air-conditioning, telephone and satelite TV. The staff is most courteous and helpful. It is very reasonably priced, with breakfast included.

Unique Quality: Staying on the island is very expensive. We also just happened to have a car which is a little hard to drive over water. So, we opted to stay on Lido di Venezia. The hotel was a little hard to find but clean and efficient. Rooms however were small. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk to the water to catch a taxi or shuttle across.
There is a small restaurant just down the street on the corner that has excellent food (sorry, don't remember the name...just the food)
