This hotel had the air of an elegant old lady. A little frayed around the edges, but still beautiful and pretty comfortable too. We got a triple for just over 90 Euro at the time, which seemed like a pretty good deal. Breakfast was served in a large tent outside. The Lido is a great place to stay when you're visiting Venice, especially if you are visiting other places in Italy or Europe because you can ferry your car there relatively inexpensively and a lot of the hotels have free parking! To get to Venice, we walked to the main ferry terminal (there was also a bus available) and took the 10 minute ferry ride to St. Mark's Square in Venice.
Hotel Villa Parco is on the Lido in Venice. Lido is an island just a 10 minute ferry ride from St. Mark's square. You can ferry your car to the Lido for about $25 USD and park for free at the hotel.
Hotel Villa Parco is a nice, very clean, older hotel. Breakfast is included in the room prices.
To get to the Lido by car:
Highways coming from all directions, exit Venezia. As you get off from the highway, follow the signs showing Venezia Lido, Ferry Boat, Tronchetto.
Get on the Ferry Boat, line 17 ACTV, belonging to the public transportation
company. Tickets price changes from car's size.
It will take roughly 35 minutes of a wonderfull trip along St. Mark' s basin.
