We spent a relaxing 5 days at Casa sul Molo in 2005. The double room was huge by Venezia standards. They are clean, beautifully furnished, and with all the windows fully shuttered dark and quiet for sleeping. The good sized bathroom is an added bonus. The location between Piazza San Marco and Rialto is perfect. Just a two minute walk back to San Marco. We took the train from Firenze and Vaparetto #82 from the station to San Marco and a 3 minute walk to Casa sul Molo. If you take the water front route the ramps over the bridge make it easier to pull luggage. Just remember that it is an extra Euro 3.50 on the vaporetto for big bags (carry ons don't count). Everything is easy walking distance. The service is extremely friendly and helpfully. I recommend you look at the website and get in touch with Davide. Only downside is a 50 step climb to the 4th floor rooms....no elevator. If you are looking for a close restaurant try Vino Vino wine bar on Ponte delle Veste near La Fenice. Excellent food at great prices if you don't mind standing waiting to select the food. Waitress brings the food to your table. Just Euro7 for a glass of Amarone. We would most definately recommend a stay here.
