What I like about this B&B are its location - close to the train station and to restaurants and watering holes on Salizada Pantalon - but tucked in a quiet corner, the nice little rooms with their wicker beds, and the friendly staff. Heed the owner's restaurant recommendations - they are fantastic eating places.
They were in the process of expanding the place when I was there and were careful not to start hammering in the early hours of the morning when guests were still in their rooms.
My only issue, albeit a minor one, was the unexciting breakfast of toast, jelly and tasteless coffee. If only the coffee was better and if only they could have thrown in a boiled egg - that would have been nice.
Locanda Gaffaro: Lovely, quiet Locanda - great value

Would recommend this Locanda, set in a quiet neighbourhood. Room was clean and comfortable. The owners speak English are very helpful. They suggested a couple of good, inexpensive restaurents for evening meals. We had an evening return flight and they were happy for us to leave our bags at reception after we'd checked out of our room so we could enjoy our last few hours wandering round the City.
