Lack of human sense
Was planing to stay in orion, the weather conditions were the reson that we didn't arrived but informed the hotel about this. It was red meteo alarm in the area and roads closed, were stack in the traffic for several hours and forced to return home. It was a situation beyond our control but hotel still charged me for no show - lack of human sense and touch THEY ARE ONLY FOR THE MONEY, so be aware! Meaby pay a litle more and get a litle more.....

Venice Airport
Will be staying at Hotel Orion Venice 2 days.
Have sight seeing planned,but would like advise on least expensive
way to the airport from our hotel.
Thanks in anticipation.

the bus station is near the train station but across the canal - taking the bus is the least expensive if you are in the city of venice - have to research times as we had to leave early so it was a bit of a challenge - so water taxi to bus to Marco Polo Airport.

There are three options to travel between the city centre of Venice and the Airport Marco Polo:
The most stylish option is probably by waterboat service which is provided by the private transportation company Alilaguna. A trip from the Airport to St Mark's Sqaure takes about 70 mins and costs 10 Euro.
Special Express buses which are operated by ATVO take you for 3 Euro in 20 mins directly from the Airport to Piazzale Roma.
The local buses no. 5 of the ACTV company take you also in 20 mins to Piazzale Roma. The advantage of these buses is that you can use the tickets (e.g. 24 hour ticket) also on the vaporetti which belong to the same company. A single ticket is only 2 Euro.
