Lots of atmosphere--nice slice of Venice
Located in the Dorsodura section of Venice near the Academia (a nice area and just across a bridge and within walking distance of the major sights). Stayed in the fairly large top floor apartment with a roof-top balcony. Caters to larger parties (up to 5 in a room) as well as doubles. Has the slowest, smallest one person elevator I've ever seen. Hidden down a very small 5' wide walkway (but is very safe). Despite the elevator, we really liked this place. Helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is surrounded by an hourly chorus of centuries old bells from numerous churches.

Hotel IN Venice that allows 2 adults/2 kids
Hello...I am in the preliminary planning stages, so have many questions that seem to chang eon a daily basis...can anyone recommend a hotel or similar in Venice that allows 2 adults /2 children? It appears that the ones that I have been checking out only allow 1 child. Any suggestions are most welcome...thanks in advance.

I made reservations for 2/2 at Locanda Orseolo--very kind receptionist when I called to book. They are listed on this site---you may want to give them a try.

Look at Ai due Leone on my page and its room called Tizian. Very friendly - our then six-year-old loved it - and the Tizian has four beds.

Of course hotels would allow it, not just two young children in a room with parents, but also two adult children in the same room with parents. We just stayed at Palazzo Guardi with our adult children, all four of us in the same room. We originally asked for a suite (two connecting rooms) but it was not available, so they gave us a very large quad room with two double beds. We paid 100 Euro through Venere.

Hotel Tre Archi - expensive but looks nice, and they reply quickly to e-mail inquiries.
