Luxury Modern Hotel

Intended to stay only a day in this hotel during my trip to Venice, but ended up staying two additional nights because of the modern interior. A far cry from the rest of the hotels that I kept seeing in the web.

A rather personal feel because the reception staff is also the one preparing breakfast. Breakfast is a spread of freshly baked breads with a cup of coffee, tea or orange juice.

The reception is on the second floor and every guest is provided with their own set of keys for both entrance and reception doors. The strange thing about this hotel is that the staircase is not lit at night, thus you need to bring your own torchlight when you return at night or use a lighter like I did.

Venice is a maze of streets that will leave you confused if you are not sure of your location. Some hotels are really difficult to locate, especially at night. This hotels is a breeze to find since it is at the edge of Piazza San Marco and near San Marco vaporetto stop.

Unique Quality: Located next to the Basilica of San Marco and within walking distances to a few tourist attractions in Venice. Restaurants and cafes are right opposite the entrance, although there are more along the streets.

Room rates from approximately EUR 80 onwards. Hotel room is nicely furnished and bathroom has a tower shower with sprays coming from all sides.

The rate is affordable if you book from the right websites and is a very convenient starting point for your exploration of Venice and the nearby islands.
