A highlight of our trip was a visit to the island of Murano. The public boats took us there to visit where Venetian glass is made. For a small fee we were able to watch the centuries old procedure for blowing the glass. After haggling with a shopkeeper, I was able to buy a wedding present that they even shipped for me.Relaxation was in the air, Venice does not have the bustling city feel.
This picture was the view from our pension's window.
