More about Villa Laguna Venice
I'm thinking of heading to Venice on the first of April. I've seen a lovely hotel (Villa Laguna) but it's in Lido. Can any one give any feedback on this hotel and also how much would a water taxi or bus be to travel into Venice each day?
I realise that staying i Venice would be better but the hotels on the Lido are much cheaper so any other ideas would be most welcome!!
From the Lido island to Venice there is a regular water bus service. The journey takes 15/20 minutes.

Hi I was in Venice for a week last spring. Venice is beautiful, but yes expensive. I think you would enjoy staying on Lido. It is also beautiful, smaller than Venice but also has good restaurants and a beautiful beach. You can easily use the vaporetto to visit Venice as often as you wish. If this is where you can afford to stay, don't miss it.
Thanks a lot folk, most helpful. Hotel booked up for the 31st March, very exciting!
Any idea on what the weather will be like?
Re: Re: Lido
also vaporetto is on service during the night. so you will be able to get home even after a nice late walk in Venezia.
Re: Re: Lido
here is my italy page of vaporettos, and i can maybe check how much it costed.. not too expensive i remember
