Hi Folks,
I'm thinking of heading to Venice on the first of April. I've seen a lovely hotel (Villa Laguna) but it's in Lido. Can any one give any feedback on this hotel and also how much would a water taxi or bus be to travel into Venice each day?
I realise that staying i Venice would be better but the hotels on the Lido are much cheaper so any other ideas would be most welcome!!

From the Lido island to Venice there is a regular water bus service. The journey takes 15/20 minutes.

Hi I was in Venice for a week last spring. Venice is beautiful, but yes expensive. I think you would enjoy staying on Lido. It is also beautiful, smaller than Venice but also has good restaurants and a beautiful beach. You can easily use the vaporetto to visit Venice as often as you wish. If this is where you can afford to stay, don't miss it.

also vaporetto is on service during the night. so you will be able to get home even after a nice late walk in Venezia.
