MERANThis picturesque town is located at the border of Austria and is known to have been among the first THERMAL BATHs' resort (19th century) of its kind. This fashionable Kurbad soon became the meeting place of the European nobility.
It's very green with a lot parcs and romantic bridges over the river *Adige* cooling the town marvellously making it perfect to have long walks during hot summer days. Really an idyllic place - not Italian-like at all!
