Worth the short bus ride

A brisk walk of 15 minutes will get you to the walled city but it is a good twenty five minutes walk - or about Eu9 or Eu10 by cab - to Via Leoni over the Ponte Navi to feel like you have arrived in the city centre.

Alternatively, Eu12 for thre days free travel on buses 11 12 13 & 90 with free entry to just about everything in Verona thrown in for free. BE prepared to pay for one taxi though of an evening - the bus services end just after 20:00!

Obtained an outrageously good eal here in February £39/ US$77/ Eu51 per night for two including breakfast, have seen reviews that deals are often avaialble.

Unique Quality: Great breakfast, great value, handy supermarket to stock up my favourite Italian store cupboard ingredients for our return to Scotland .

OF COURSE - wuld have preferred not to have the commute which is why it only gets 4 out of 5, but way less than half the price of poorer cousins in the Centro Storico. So, yes we would explore these options, but no qualms about a second stay here either for our return one day......

Big Clean Rooms, Best Rate When Booked Online

I reserved a double-room over the Internet and got a very good rate (64 Euros). I recommend booking ahead to get a better rate and to ensure you get a room. The hotel seems very popular with groups and conference-goers. The regular rate (listed on the back of the hotel room door) was shown as 150 euros for the room, so the Internet rate is a good savings.

The room was large and very comfortable, super clean. It had a t.v and mini-bar, an enormous double bed, desk, bedside tables, etc. The bathroom was also large and clean, with a great shower. They provided complimentary slippers, wrapped in plastic, which I thought was nice. The rooms have Wi-Fi available.

When you walk into the lobby, you immediately come to a bar area with seating. It wasn't at all cosy at night, but okay for a wine and a handful of the free snacks available.

The location of the hotel is good if you are arriving in Verona by car. It is a short drive to the city, maybe 10 minutes or less. The hotel has ample parking and is located on a quiet side street off of the main road.

Unique Quality: The hotel is somehow attached to a supermarket, which is airbrushed out of the official picture on the website. Don't expect the picture you see - it looks totally different. You reach the entrance of the hotel by walking down the sloping exit ramp of the underground parking garage.

Funny -- take note of the large mural of Italy painted on the cement wall outside the entrance.

Modern and clean

A modern hotel about 3kms from the centre of Verona (a few minutes from San Zeno Maggiore).
Hotels in Verona are expensive, so finding this place was a good find! Rooms are large, airy, plenty of light and staff friendly. Nothing fancy, but comfortable, clean and a pretty good location away from the centre of town (if you are driving its actually the perfect location as, unlike many of the central hotels, parking is straightforward - right in front of the hotel.
