Verona - Architecture with style
by Martin_S.
Many of the buildings in Verona do not settle for being "nice", but they have extra touches, such as this building with the reliefs on it. They run all the way across the face of the building and each is an individual work of art.

Just crossing this bridge and I was right in the town center. There are lots of coffee & gelato and restaurant terraces, mostly italian and it was lovely to do nothing and watch people passing by!
It's just one of those places where you have to slow down.
Churches
by Azhut
In Verona you can find a great number of wonderful churches. The Duomo for example, in romanesque style, was built in the XII century close to the Adige river, or the church of Santa Anastasia, located not far from the Duomo. San Anastasia, was built in Gothic style in the XIII century. In the vicinity of Piazza dei Signori there is Santa Maria Antica, another romanesuqe style's example, whose portal bears the tomb of Cangrande I della Scala. Not fra from the house of Romeo, continuing along Via Leoni, in the vicinity of Ponte navi, is the church of San Fermo Maggiore, which admirably unites the romanesque and gothic styles.
The Castle of Romeo
by croisbeauty
The castle of Romeo is situated on the hill next to Giulietta's castle. It is less then one kilometer far from the Giulietta's home.
The same goes for this castle too, it is in a very poor conditions, although it looks much better then Giulietta's castle.
San Zeno

Crypt. What we see today, a real forest of columns, is the result of the rearrangementof the tenth century crypt done between the end of the 12th and the beginning of the 13th century. The venerated body of St. Zeno, the Patron Saint of Verona, is preserved in the urn in the apse.
