Well, living in Verona, i did not use hotels here (My wife Laura still hasn't kicked me out of our home late at night, i mean!).
But a good friend of us, living in Torino (Anna, that attended the 2005 1st official european VT Meeting in Verona, if you where there..), was sent a week (it was sept 2005) here in Verona by her bank, and used hotel Verona for the first time: she told us good things about what i cannot see passing in front of the hotel hundreds of time.
Second handed info, so, but from a woman i know very well and trust (and wich shared with us thousands of miles of travels)
The little 3 star hotel (4 or 5 floors, but very small) was totally renovated recently , and furnished in a modern-looking way. Room with LCD flat TV, good breakfast (no restaurant, but no problem because you are in the center with dozens of restaurants within a 10 minutes walk... i have a few in my tips, an "La mescola" is the nearest). Rates were good for the value.
I can personally add the hotel is located along C.so Porta Nuova, the big "boulevard" connecting Piazza Bra (where the Arena is) to Porta Nuova. About 400 meters from Piazza Bra an 1 km of easy walking from the Verona Porta Nuova train station (frequent buses to the station just a few meters from the hotel doors, though).
All in all, not a luxury hotel, but a well renovated and managed one, for what Anna told us.
There is a big public car park nearby (Parking Arena open 7/7 and 24/24) but you can park (paying from 8 am to 8 pm) just in front of the hotel.... well, if you have a little luck, at least.... But the street is large, there, and if you want to park just in front the hotel, wait in second line for a place beiing let free..
The size of the Hotel is medium to small, so if you don't love big hotels, this is a plus.
