 | Jersey Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 28 | | If you are looking for a hotel to stay in that has a friendly vibe, very pleasent staff and an extremely convenient location then booking your stay at Beachcombers is a must. In the summer there is an outdoor heated swimming pool where the kids can swim whilst you relax on a sunlounger or if you are feeling particularly energetic perhaps play a game of tennis. The location we found perfect as in winter there is a restricted nightly bus service and we were well placed in the transport zone for travelling into St Hellier, whilst still being situated on a quiet road in a rural location. In fact you are a few minutes walk away from the sandy Grouville bay & the Royal Jersey golf club. For nature lovers the hotel is near the reservoir of Queens valley. Also within walking distance is Gorey village to admire the Jersey Potteries and also the historic Mont Orgueil Castle which is in Gorey harbour.
The breakfast buffet is quite a spread and I certainly had eyes bigger then my stomach it set me up nicely for the active day that lay ahead. We did not have an evening meal here but the menu looked scrumptious and after chatting with guests staying on half board they highly recommended the 3 course dinner. The staff were friendly and accomodating and as a guest you feel warm and valued not just a room number as is the case in some hotels. So do give James a call and he will sort out any of your requirements for making your Jersey stay a pleasurable one. Leave a Comment

We stayed here on my first trip to the Island. Very rustic, laid back atmosphere, with a nice swimming pool, TVs in all the rooms, and pretty cool views.
Absolutely awesome breakfasts! Do also offer dinners, but we never tried them unfortunately... Very close to the beach, and a general store close by as well. Easy access to & from St Helier by bus. Ommaroo Hotel, which sits just across the road from the beach. The architecture of this building, and many others is very typical of the area - many of the houses having finely decorated balconies and palm trees in the front gardens. I have stayed here a few times in the past and found it to be of a high standard, but affordable.
Better suited to the more senior visitor. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Havre des Pas, St HelierDirections: On the eastern coast road.

We stayed here on my second trip to jersey. Besides being pretty well located, it is also relatively small, so getting to meet other travellers is easy & fun. The staff are also all travellers in their own right, and can tell you all you need to know about the island. And they are very well priced (I payed 5 quid a night last time i was there). Think it´s a bit more expensive these days...
Set on a big hill, so you get some great excercise whenever you come home! You can do your washing there, they have a communal kitchen as well. We left with mixed feelings about this place: I was not very happy about the shower (difficult to adjust the temperature and the hose would not hold in place) and the mechanical noises coming from the other room where a bit annoying (perhaps a boiler?). On our first breakfast we realized the filter coffee was a major tragedy so on the second morning we went for tea instead. But the views were gorgeous and the lady running the place was helpful, although she was seldom there.
