More about The Club Hotel & Spa
Very chic hotel!
Very chic hotel, from friendly greeting, to stylish design, to truly outstanding service - we were blown away.
Food in Bohemia was sublime, and worth the undeniable expense - save it for that special meal. Club Cafe upstairs also outstanding, we ate dinner here twice. Lovely to eat breakfast by the pool (and sunbathe)in the super weather we enjoyed during our stay. Freshly baked bread and pastries from the kitchens! Lovely aroma.
Spa and treatments among the best. Mud room was brilliant!
Nothing was too much troulbe for the staff who took the time to know us by name. The Club is not by the beach but in the middle of the town but nothing in Jersey is far away, and you feel at the centre of things. Good beaches a 5 minute drive away.
Highly recommend for romantic break!
Fantastic in Every Way ...
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were impressed with the staff and the hotel. Without exception the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the dining (in room and brasserie) is superb. The spa facilities are amazing and the public spaces are peaceful and welcoming. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, stress-free break.
A lovely Hotel
The Club is a super little hotel with a great warmth. Staff here were outstanding. High points - lots of features eg super spa more than just an afterthought with some interesting treatments, 2 pools, food outstanding and lived up to its billing (so important to a great holiday), lovely rooms well equipped and with air conditioning, unlike a 5star I stayed in in France recently. Generally the whole gives an atmosphere of top quality. Not the cheapest but if you want to feel special and be treated as such this is the place.
beautiful boutique hotel
Very enjoyable experience from the moment we checked in. Loved the small touches, such as showing you around the hotel personally on arrival, the honesty bar, the lovely shortbread biscuits and "thought for the day" when the room is turned down in the evening, and the very tasty welcome choccies and champagne.
Smallish rooms, but beautifully appointed, excellent food in the Club restaurant, great facilities, spa and friendly service.
Regarding the critisism from another traveller that the hotel is not very child friendly.
It isn't, but I would suggest that if you have small children this is not the hotel for you. I know it would not have been the place I chose when my kids were small. I would have gone for L'horizon at St. Brelade's, which is much more suitable. Why do people critisise hotels, when they have made a completely inappropriate choice?
This is a beautiful boutique hotel, with exquisite service. Enjoy !
Loved the Hotel
Stayed here for a long weekend for our anniversary and it was fantastic.
We got a great deal on a 3 night stay and it lived up to expectations. Especially liked the additional touch of showing you round the hotel on arrival.
On the first night we ate in the upstairs restaurant (opposite reception) and the food was excellent. We also ate in the hotels michelin star restaurant one night where the food, service and ambience were exceptional.
Unusual to find such a gem in the Channel Islands and would not hesitate to visit again.
fantastic boutique hotel
first time in Jersy and really over awed by the beauty of the island , lovely beaches, and this fantastic place to stay. The hotel isn't in the most scenic of locations but is a short skip to the shops and sea. What is lacks in views it makes up for on atmostsphere, wonderful food, and a terrific spa. Both resturant are excellent and the bar is lively at night.
A Haven of Tranquility
Just returned from this fabulous hotel. Everything that has been said by others is absolutely spot on. The rooms are beautifully kitted out, hi-tech gadgets, personal DVD/CD players etc. Spa is one of the best I have ever been to. The mood showers in the spa are very different. Advisable to book treatments in Spa before you go, or at least on arrival.
The only negative thing (and it's not really negative) is that the service in the Cafe in quite slow so if you are in a rush allow plenty of time. Food is worth it though! Would definitely recommend and will certainly return as we didn't get chance to eat in the Bohemia (the island's only Michelin Star restaurant).
9 out of 10
Ok. Negatives first. The rooms are a touch on the small size, and the indoor pool is only available at certain times (unless paying for treatments - which I thought were a little pricey). That said, this is a great hotel. It has style and class. It manages to be modern and minimal (ish), whilst sumptuous and comfortable at the same time. The design is quirky, over 4 floors, with the indoor pool kind of tucked away in the bowls of the hotel. Everything is high quality, which I suppose is reflected in the price. The food is simply fantastic. An earlier contributor remarked about the restaurant location being close to the bar. Don’t let this put you off. You can hear and smell the bar, but it’s not obtrusive and if you are really intent on privacy during your meal, the restaurant has a section, which is isolated from the noise by glass screens. It’s not a place for children. It’s a place to eat, drink and relax in style (and it’s very handy for the shops too).
After staying at this hotel, I found myself asking why the Club Hotel and Spa isn't #1 in popularity in Jersey - having stayed both here and the Pomme I'm glad to see upon my return that it has taken the #1 spot as it deserves it by a mile.
The design of this hotel is top notch and as others have mentioned, all the little touches from the high tech gadgetry to the honesty bar to the excellent turndown service really make the difference.
The Staff is very friendly and accomodating an the hotel is home to the only starred restaurants on the island - Bohemia. I ate there one night and it was very good.
The spa and pool area are nice and relaxing, although the locker room is a little small. I would like to see a fitness room in the future to make this the perfect place to stay.
I had been concerned that the location would not be as convenient as the Pomme, however the Club is just a very short walk into the main part of town and shopping. Not an issue whatsoever.
I have found the hotel I will always be staying at when in St Helier.
