"Where Jurmala is and how to get there"
Jurmala longs 100 km2 longwise the coast of the gulf of Riga. It is 21 km far from Riga (the distant region of Jurmala is 41 km far from Riga). You can get there by mini-buss which is near the central railway station (in the start of Maria's street), by buss from the central buss station, you need to choose direction Tukums and by train from central railway station, you need to choose direction Sloka or Tukums.
Remeber! Jurmala has several parts (it is important when you buy tickets): the nearest to Riga is Lielupe, Bulduri, Dzintari, Majori, Dubulti, Jaundubulti, Pumpuri, Sloka, Kemeri - more distant from Riga.

There are sanatoriums (Belorussja, Jaunkemeri, Jantarnij bereg), rest-houses (Vaivari) and many of spa-resorts. The biggest and famous is Baltic Beach hotel. http://www.balticbeach.lv/eng/
Prices are high during the summer - autumn season, more democratic prices are during the winter and the spring.

Most busy and noisy parts of Jurmala is Dzintari, Bulduri, Majori, Dubulti. For nature observing you have to go to Lielupe and Kemeri. In Lielupe is "Ragakapa" dune and in Kemeri is National park of Kemeri. In Kemeri is possible to rent bicycles and enjoy nature.
