Budget accommodation
by Durfun about Dodo Hotel
Try Dodo Hotel.
Nice, new hotel, not far from the Zeppelin hangars of the Main markets.
It's only a few stops via the tram, max 10 minute ride, a single ticket costs 0.50lats.
The area is quiet, not great looking, but it's a good hotel, all very clean & new. Right opposite the tram stop.

Where to visit in Riga?
by setareh_76
Hi, we are planning to stay 1 night in Riga, arriving at 5 pm, 13 June, and leaving next day 11.5 am, does anybody have any suggestions about where to visit, or which area is better to book a hotel?
I would be thankful if anybody recommend us what are the must sees or amazing places in Riga.

For a short stay I would recommend staying in old town and just have a walk around. For hotel suggestions it would be good to know your approximate budget and number of persons staying.
Best wishes from Riga,
Anita

Hi Anita, thanks for your reply,
We are 4, and the budget for hotel, the less the better, max about 70-80 euros.

Hi Setareh,
If you do not mind a tram ride I could agree with Durfun advice. I have not been in Dodo hotel myself, still from what I know it may be the best value for your money. You can check yourself: http://www.dodohotel.lv/en/index.html
It looks that Anabella hotel is also nice, still it is not in the centre either: http://www.hotelannabella.lv/eng/
The number one hostel in Riga located in the centre is http://www.franksbackpackers.hostel.com/index.php
For four persons the price will be the same as in the hotels above.
Good luck,
Anita
