Right in Riga
Now this hotel outweighed expectations, it is in fact a Four Star property and is well situated.
Rooms are clean, clean, clean a major priority for this lady. Breakfast has a wide choice of food, ranging from fish, to salad, cereal, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, bread, cakes and the list goes on..and on.
We ate a small meal in the restaurant, which we throughly enjoyed, service generally we found slow in Riga but nothing to complain too much about. A smile and helpful service was served up here.
The bar on first night we found empty but we made our own entertainment, the second evening we left at about 9pm due to the smokey atmosphere.
Unique Quality: There is a sauna but we did not use it.
It is just a 10/15 minute walk to the old town from here through the parks.
It cost approximately 8 LAT with tip 10LAT for a taxi from the airport to the hotel.

Not Dead Centre But Not A Problem
Stayed here for a long weekend in May, and got a great deal from the hotel direct. We were upgraded on check in to a lovely balcony suite. The room was very modern with a huge marble bathroom. Cable TV had decent enough channels ( although to be fair we did not spend much time watching TV ). The hotel is not in the very centre of Riga but is in the Art Nouveau district, which is about a 10 minute walk to the centre, or you can take the trams and buses which stop nearby. Breakfast buffet was nice enough and set you up for the day. Would definitely stay here again.
Unique Quality: The staff at the hotel were very friendly, and the hotel American style bar had a nice friendly feel about it and served way into the small hours. We had a balcony which had nice views out towards the port of Riga, but not all rooms have these.

I haven't stayed there, but some friends of mine have - and according to them, the hotel was quite ok, but their room was a bit small. Domina Inn is situated in Pulkveza Brieza, which is a 10-15 minute walk from the Old Town - partly through a park, it's a nice walk really.

I can say that booking Domina Inn in Riga is a bit like a gamble: hotel consists of few buildings with very different size of the rooms. If you are not lucky you can get the tiniest room of this hotel class in Riga. I have seen quite many but those are the smallest so far. If you are lucky, you will get a normal size room. If you have a choice try something else. If it is the good deal and room size is not so important, take your chance. Hotel is quite new and rooms are well decorated. Good luck!
