Hotel with good Breakfast

Heard that some Cyclists group from England stopped here and they do a very good breakfast.
Indeed the price is good at 25 Latts per night - and as i seen on reviews before - very clean, cable tv, very good breakfast.

Unique Quality: Cold platter of cheese and meat and salad and always hot food.
Omlette 1 day
Smoked sausage and eggs one day
But the best day of all was morning i had Potatoe Cakes - they were delicious and much better than the ones i had in restaurant previous day.
The first lady cook on first 2 days was very nice and friendly and spoke very good english
There was another lady another day who looked very very tired - i am not sure if she spoke english but she was not a morning person

15 mins walk from old Riga near other hotels.
Rooms at the back can be pretty quiet if not for the seagulls at night - this reminded me of time i was once in Llandudno.

Good value, centrally located Bed & Breakfast

I stayed at Multilux B&B with a friend for 2 nights in October 2005.

We chose to stay here as we wanted a good value, centrally located place with breakfast included in the price - and Multilux was recommended by our indispensible "In Your Pocket" guide to Riga.

This recently refurbished Bed & Breakfast is located on Gertrudes iela, just a couple of minutes walk from the central Brivibas iela. You can walk from the hotel to the heart of the old town in a little over 10 minutes.

We paid 40 Lats (approx 40 GBP) for a double room with private bathroom and breakfast. This proved to be excellent value for money.

Our double room consisted of 3 single beds, satellite TV, a large wardrobe, wooden floors, a couple of chairs and a spotlessly clean shower room. The room was very well heated, and this was particularly welcome after arriving back at the room from a bitterly cold Riga evening! It was very evident that the room had been refurbished in the not too distant past.

The reception area was staffed by friendly staff and contained a selection of guidebooks for guests to browse through.

Unfortunately, the hotel had no lifts at the time of our visit, so we had to drag our bags up to the 4th floor. This wasn't too big a problem for us, but it might be a factor that deters others from staying here.

Entrance to the hotel and the bedrooms is by way of an electronic swipe card, so you shouldn't have any concerns about security.

The breakfast was very good. It consisted of toast with butter and a choice of jams, a large omelette (cooked by the full-time, in-house chef), orange juice and a choice of coffee or tea. Unfortunately, it wasn't a buffet style breakfast so you can only eat what you are given by the waitress.

An excellent value, centrally located Bed & Breakfast. Clean, modern, well heated bedrooms and a good quality breakfast. Recommended!
