Historical, Central Hotel

First impressions were also lasting impressions - small and friendly. The reception staff were extremely helpful and created the feeling that you were one of the family.

The rooms had satellite TV, a fridge/minibar, and a reasonable sized bathroom. The bath itself was deep and ideal for relaxing aching limbs in after seeing as much of the city as possible in a short space of time.

The rooms were furnished in accordance with the age of the buildings. It wasn't as clinical feeling as many other hotels.

The hotel was spotless and our only complaint was that the fridge was a little bit noisy!

Breakfasts are in the small dining room and you have a choice from a menu. This ranges from various egg dishes to bacon and cheese.

Unique Quality: The hotel building itself dates back to the 18th century and has been renovated to provide around a dozen rooms for guests. There is a small court yard in which you can relax with a drink.

The claim to fame for the hotel is that the Dalai Lama stayed in the hotel in 2001.

Prices of rooms:
Single room - 65 Ls / 90 €
Double room - 75 Ls / 110 €
Suite (1 pers.) - 110 Ls / 150 €
Suite (2 pers.) - 115 Ls / 164 €
