Hi!
Does anyone know which is the closest hotel to the Riga airport? I know that the hotel is far from the centre, but I would like to stay very close, because I have a early flight in the morning.

Riga is divided by the river Daugava which runs into the Gulf of Riga. It is Latvia's longest river (367 km).
Take a walk halfway over the Akmens bridge or Vansu Bridge and enjoy the silhouette of buildings and church towers of the the Old Town on the banks of the Daugava river.
November 18th is our Independence day.
If you are in Riga during this time, don't miss many different activities, like our army parade near President castle, President's speech near the Monument of Freedom and fireworks at the very evening.

Sorry I can't remember the name of this place but I know it's on Grecinieku Street and it's opposite Dickens the English pub.
It's a really groovy place, the foods tasty and served until quite late. There's lots of cocktails on the menu and it's pretty cheap.
Most of all I love the deco! It's fun and colourful!
The music is good, we were there on a Saturday night and there was a live band! There didn't appear to be a dress code.
Trains going to Jurmala leave from the Central Train Station at Stacijas laukums - and there are about two trains per hour. The journey is about 20 minutes long on old russian electric trains with wooden benches - all for less than 1 lahti return.
