A good hotel
The hotel's location proved to be perfect for us, just a short walk to the Art Nouveau streets, the old town, and the train/bus stations. The hotel itself is an Art Nouveau buliding from 1901 and really beautiful (especially the main - old - staircase).
Friendly staff at reception and a breakfast buffé that ticked most of my boxes (except that they didn't offer hot chocolate...). The room was just the right temperature but the hallway was, for some reason, really cold. However, that didn't cause any problems since we didn't wander the hallways without extra clothing anyway.
We had a room facing the inner court so it was really quiet.
The airport buses (both 22A and the Shuttle) stopped about two blocks further down K. Valdemara iela, so it was really easy to get to/from the hotel to the airport.
Unique Quality: A lovely Art Nouveau building with some really nice features.
