Unique Quality: Performance festival "Ritual" in Pedvale Open Air museum in Sabile

Every year the Pedvale Open Air musuem chooses a theme that during the year gets different creative interpretations in public space. The theme of 2005 is "The Unknown element" – the ritual. The idea is to bring together all the basic elements, the nature, the time cycle, the presence of all the beings and interaction in the ritual and to treat the man as a ritual creator and the interpreter.
Performance festival “Ritual” will consist of environment projects and performances in Pedvale nature park during the Midsummer celebration.

Pedvale Open Air musuem is situated 120km from Riga, near the small town Sabile. The territory of the park is 150ha and there are two manor house complexes, renovated environment and nature park. Since 1992. in Pedvale many art symposiums, workshops and celebrations take place, exploring both the aesthetic setting and the natural beauty.

24.06. — thematically free performances in Pedvale park.
25.06.— Closure, departure
